EdTech companies, curriculum development houses, school districts, nonprofit organizations are always looking for freelance curriculum developers. 

Begin by: 

  • Creating a curriculum sample that you can use when applying for jobs.

  • Looking at the websites of EdTech sites you use to see if they are hiring curriculum developers. 

  • Checking with school districts or organizations that you might have relationships with to see if they have any curriculum projects you could assist with. 

  • Consider creating your own curriculum to sell on a site like TeachersPayTeachers.

Freelance Assessment Writing Jobs

Are you the type of person who could be given a standard, then write 20 questions around it? If so, assessment writing could be one of the best freelance jobs in education for you. Assessment writers create formal and informal assessments to check students’ understanding. As teachers, we know how to assess learning in many different ways. Put this knowledge to good use by working as a freelance assessment writer! 

Begin by: 

  • Trying out assessment writing! Assign yourself a standard or objective, then try to write 10 different assessment questions around that standard/objective. 

  • Searching your favorite EdTech sites for assessment writing jobs.
